PERMITS ARE NO LONGER REQUIRED FOR LIGHTING FIRES.
Permits to light a fire are no longer required in the Central Darling Shire District. But it needs to be also understood that fire is still a major cause of concern if carelessly lit and unsupervised. It is still an offence under the Rural Fires Act (1997) to light a fire and have it get away from your control. If you need to burn off let the local Fire Brigade captain or the Fire Control Centre know of your intentions. Tell your neighbours.Download document
