Remembrance Day Service at Menindee

Last modified: October 5, 2009 - 10:11 PM

A small crowd gathered on 11th November at the Cenotaph in Menindee to remember those who had fought for our country. Adam Bailey led the Remembrance Day Service while various community organisations laid wreaths. Pearl Ferguson and Matthew Faemani representing the Menindee Central School planted standard roses to commemorate the day. The grounds of the Cenotaph and Rose Garden were recently enhanced by the placement of a new fenceline, a community effort by the Friends of the Cenotaph and Central Darling Shire Council.

Community organisations of Menindee were encouraged to add to the project by donating a standard rose for the rose garden.
