Roads and Traffic

Our Responsibility is to;

To provide pleasant and safe streetscapes in the Shire's towns.

To sweep streets and gutters to maintain the appearance and cleanliness of town areas

Provide urban stormwater drainage systems to meet the requirements of a one in five year rain event a defined by the Australian Rainfall Runoff Manual

Provide levels of street lighting to provide pedestrian and vehicular safety and security

Ensure business areas and recreation areas are provided with adequate seating and bins

Provide levels of pedestrian footpaths that are structurally sound, safe and accessible for the disabled. 

Enhance the appearance of streets by undertaking, and encouraging community participation in the planting and maintenance of appropriate native trees, and developing other strategies.
