Council lobbies over unaffordable water prices Published on 22 March 2024 Central Darling Shire Council is facing a difficult situation with its water utilities. Under the current arrangements Council is not in a financial position to fully operate and maintain local water utilities, without financial assistance from the State and Federal Governments. It comes after the completion of a major improvements project. Regional Drought Resilience Planning Program funding welcomed Published on 06 March 2024 Central Darling Shire Council, Broken Hill City Council, and the Regional Development Australia Far West NSW Unincorporated Area are working together to produce a plan for drought resilience.
