Central Darling Shire Council was a finalist in two award categories in the 2025 NSW Local Government Excellence Awards. The Properties for Sale in Central Darling Shire Facebook page was a finalist. Also the Local Emergency Management Committee – 2024 Power Outage response was a finalist with our submission recognising the combined efforts of Council and all the various government, business and volunteer emergency response agencies in helping residents during the power outage. Council took home a glass trophy in the First Nations Community Partnership category for the Baaka Cultural Centre.
