UPDATE FROM THE LOCAL EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE

The Local Emergency Management Committee, comprising State agencies, NGOs, and Central Darling Shire Council is providing regular updates to provide the community with information it needs as we work through the current COVID outbreak.

LATEST UPDATES

People in the Central Darling Shire are encouraged to follow the Far West Local Health District Facebook page for up-to-date information on COVID, including testing and vaccination.

STAY AT HOME

Stay at home orders are still current for Central Darling Shire local government area.

TESTING

People throughout the region are still being encouraged to continue testing. Testing is free and you can be tested regularly whether you have symptoms or not. Maintaining high rates of testing is one clear way of keeping ahead of the virus and keeping our communities safe.

Testing clinics are available at

Wilcannia – Swimming Pool complex between 10am to 2pm. Home visits for Day 5 and Day 12 testing are being conducted between 2pm and 4pm

Menindee – Menindee Oval between 10am to 4pm

White Cliffs – White Cliffs Health Service carpark between 10am and 2pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday

Ivanhoe – Ivanhoe Sportsground between 10am and 2pm

VACCINATION CLINIC

The Wilcannia Vaccination Clinic will be operating from Tuesday 14 September through to Friday 17 September between 10am and 3pm. There is no appointment necessary for this clinic and the teams at the clinic would like to thank everyone for their patience as they wait for their vaccination.
