Opal Mining White Cliffs set to resume

After years of uncertainty there is good news for opal and gem mining at White Cliffs. Following lengthy negotiations, the commonwealth government has paved the way for mining to resume. The Council would like clarification on some aspects, but overwhelming it is in support of this historic decision to secure an economic future for White Cliffs.
