Visiting our Far West NSW Shire.

Central Darling Shire Council is pleased to advise that a $2.34-million road upgrade project at Menindee has been completed. It comes after work started in July last year. The Racecourse Road project involved realignment, construction and sealing works. The improvements include sealing 3.9km of previously unsealed road as well as widening the road to improve road safety. Additional culverts were installed to improve drainage through this flood prone section of road. The work was funded by the NSW Government’s Fixing Local Roads Program. Council appreciates the NSW Government funding and Transport NSW support for this project, without the grant support this important road upgrade would not have been possible.
