Roads update - flooding situation

The Barrier Highway, 23km west of Wilcannia, remains closed.

Water level dropped last night by 150mm, depth in the centre of the road is 550mm.

Excavators continue to desilt and deepen the trench, it is draining the area at 400mm depth and 1.5m width towards the east.

The Wilcannia-Menindee West Rd remains open with caution for a detour route.

The water flowing through culvert on the Wilcannia-Menindee West Rd has ceased, no rise overnight.

Two graders continue repair work on the Menindee-Wilcannia East Rd, expected to be opened with caution today.
