Central Darling Shire Council General Manager, Greg Hill, has urged all residents to comply with the Stay-at-Home order issued on Saturday.

“It is vital all our residents work together as a community to try and keep this virus out of our community,” Mr Hill said.

“Council is committed to keeping our communities safe and we are pleased with the uptake of testing, with 109 tests done at the Wilcannia site yesterday (Saturday).

“There have been no COVID cases recorded in Central Darling Shire or in Broken Hill.

“Working with the Far West Local Health District, RFDS and Rural Fire Service, there have been additional testing clinics set up.

“I would urge everyone to take advantage of these extra services.”

Mr Hill said regular updates would be provided as required on Council’s Facebook page and website.

“I would also urge all our residents to be patient as Council staff work to ensure essential services are managed in line with the Public Health Order,” Mr Hill said.
