Update Opal Miners Way, White Cliffs

Council is advising motorists that there is flood damage on Opal Miners Way, towards White Cliffs.
This damage has occurred over the last five days.
There are currently a few locations along the road where there are small amounts of water over the road.
Council is assessing the road conditions. More signage is being put in place to warn motorists of the traffic hazards.
The road is expected to be open with caution over the weekend. Motorists are reminded that the Barrier Highway to Broken Hill is closed.
Once Opal Miners Road opens, under caution, it will be possible to travel to Wilcannia, Cobar and Ivanhoe.
