Draft Local Housing Strategy
The Central Darling Shire Council Draft Local Housing Strategy has been prepared with funding assistance from the NSW Government through the Regional Housing Strategic Planning Fund.
It provides a strategic framework to guide housing growth, diversity, affordability and housing-related planning decisions across Central Darling Shire over the next 20 years.
The Strategy responds to identified housing challenges throughout the Shire, including housing availability, affordability, social and Aboriginal housing needs, workforce accommodation requirements, ageing population trends, flood constraints and the long-term sustainability of local communities.
The Strategy establishes a vision, objectives and actions to improve housing outcomes across Wilcannia, Menindee, Ivanhoe, White Cliffs, Tilpa and Sunset Strip.
Council is exhibiting the Draft Local Housing Strategy for a period of 28 days to enable community and stakeholder feedback.
