Menindee Tip

Central Darling Shire Council is increasing surveillance at the Menindee Rubbish Tip.
This comes after two recent fires at the tip.
These fires, which occurred in the general and green waste areas are believed to have been deliberately lit.
If anyone is caught lighting a fire at the tip the matter will be referred to the police and charges may result.
In the event that another fire does occur at the tip this will result in the facility being closed until it is safe to reopen. This could result in a closure of several days or more.
