Council advises that the Raw Water in Wilcannia has been switched off.
This is because the pump in the river has been affected by the recent floods.
The pump has been taken to Broken Hill for repairs.
If all goes well with the repairs to the pump the Council expects the service to be restored to the raw water supply by the end of the week.
Filtered water is still being supplied by the bore with temporary lower pressure.
Once the river pump is restored the supply situation will return to normal.
